If waste has been dumped on a site you are responsible for, send us photos of the waste and the location. Explain your connection to the land and how the collection could be accessed. The contents and authority to clear need assessment before work is arranged.
Photograph without disturbing the waste
Take an overview from a safe position and describe what you can see. Do not move bags or open unknown containers to improve the photographs. Let us know about anything uncertain, sharp or leaking so the request can be assessed appropriately.
Include how far the waste extends, whether it blocks an entrance and whether further dumping is ongoing. A close-up alone may not show the full amount or the access problem.
Explain who can authorise the collection
Tell us whether you are the landowner, occupier, managing agent or somebody acting with permission. If another person must approve the work or provide access, mention that when you enquire.
A collection request does not establish permission to enter land or remove waste. If the site is a public road or a location you do not control, explain that clearly before any arrangements are discussed.
Give a useful site description
Share the postcode and exact collection point privately with us. Describe gates, barriers, steps and the route a collection vehicle would need to use. If there is a site contact or a required visit before access, include those details.
Clear It’s carrier registration can be checked on the Environment Agency register. The waste itself still needs assessment, and any documentation you need should be discussed with the collection arrangements.

Should I sort the dumped waste before sending photos?
Do not disturb unfamiliar dumped material just to photograph it. Describe what you can see and mention uncertainty.
Does sending a location book a clearance?
