Information in an enquiry

When you contact us, you choose what to send. A clearance enquiry can include your name, contact details, collection postcode or address, waste photographs, access information and messages about the work. Share what is needed to assess the job and keep unrelated personal papers and information about other people out of photographs.

The information helps us respond to your request, assess the work and arrange an agreed collection. Payment and job records are separate from website button clicks.

Why we use information

We use enquiry and booking information to take steps at your request before a contract and to carry out an agreed clearance. We use relevant records to meet legal obligations, including accounting and waste-record requirements. Our legitimate interests include answering general enquiries, securing this website and dealing with complaints. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.

Website hosting and service providers

Netlify hosts this website and processes technical request information, including IP addresses, requested pages and browser details, to deliver and secure it. Netlify Web Analytics produces server-side visitor and page-view totals without adding a tracking cookie. FK Growth Ltd manages the website for Clear It.

Google Analytics loads only after you accept optional analytics. It measures page visits and selections of the call, WhatsApp and email buttons. Enhanced measurement and advertising features are not enabled. If you choose WhatsApp, telephone or email, the relevant communications provider separately processes your message or call. These providers may process data outside the UK under their own safeguards.

How long information is kept

Enquiry information is kept for the time needed to respond, follow up on the requested work and resolve any related questions. When a job is agreed, relevant records may need to be kept longer for accounting, waste-record, legal or complaint requirements. The purpose of the record, outstanding matters and applicable legal requirements determine the retention period.

WhatsApp, telephone and email

Choosing a WhatsApp link opens a service provided by WhatsApp. You add photographs and send the message there. Choosing a call or email link opens your chosen telephone or email application. Those services have their own privacy information and settings.

The website does not turn a click into a received enquiry. If you need to check that we received your message, contact us directly.

Website measurement

Netlify hosts the website and provides server-side totals for page views and unique visitors from normal website requests. This does not add a visitor tracking cookie. We use these totals to understand whether the website is being reached and which pages are requested.

Google Analytics loads only if you accept optional analytics. It records a shortened page address without query text, the page title, general browser and device information, approximate location, and whether a call, WhatsApp or email button was selected. We do not send names, phone numbers, email addresses, postcodes, collection addresses, messages, photographs, full contact links or referrer paths. A button selection is an interaction measure and does not prove that an enquiry was sent or received.

We rely on your consent for Google Analytics. You can decline it and use every contact option, or change your choice later through Analytics settings in the website footer. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies after acceptance; we limit their configured lifetime to about 13 months and ask for a fresh choice after 180 days.

The coverage map

The coverage map uses OpenStreetMap. When it comes into view, your browser connects to the map provider, which receives technical request information such as your IP address, browser details and the website origin. The map does not use your device location or send your enquiry or collection address. OpenStreetMap Foundation’s privacy policy explains how it handles requests to its services.

Your questions and rights

You can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion or restriction, and request a portable copy where applicable. These rights depend on the circumstances and legal basis. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact info@clear-it.org to make a request. Information needed to assess or carry out a clearance is voluntary, but we may be unable to arrange the work without it. This website does not make automated booking or eligibility decisions.
